The Terms and Conditions detailed below apply to all entrants participating in theMh2d cycling event. Completion of an entry form acknowledges acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the participant.
- Participation in the Mh2d cycling event is reserved to those who have registered successfully.
- The registration is only considered to be valid once the entry fee and deposit have been cashed or (for our participants coming from abroad) have been credited to the relevant bank account.
- Dutch participants can only pay the entry fee and deposit by issuing a one-time authorization for Mh2d to collect the amount due. Participants coming from abroad must transfer the amount of the entry fee and deposit from their bank account to the Mh2d’s bank account. Payment of these is due no later than 30 days before the starting sate of the Mh2d cycling event in 2012.
- Participants coming from abroad receive an email with further information about payment of entry fee and deposit.
- The entry fee and deposit are not refundable or transferrable. You are only entitled to a refund if the event is officially cancelled by an act of government.
- Participation is reserved to registered participants who have a registration form and a personal ride number plate. This personal plate should be visibly and securely attached to the front of the bicycles.
- By accepting the personal number plate, the participant confirms that he/she is in good health to take part in the event and that the bike they are riding for the event is of a suitable standard and state.
- This event is not a race but a tourist trial.
- Participants should behave sensibly and respect other road users, nature and the environment.
- Participants are aware of the risks involved by participating in this event. They are fully responsible for their own safety and the safety of others around them.
- Participants enter this event entirely at their own risk. As road users, they should comply with road traffic laws at all times.
- It is mandatory that all riders wear a cycle helmet.
- It is not allowed to have cars following behind the peloton.
- Participants must follow the instructions of the organisation at all times.
- The organisation shall not be liable for any accidents, material and immaterial damages, and/or (serious) injury which may result in death.
- Participants can be excluded from this and future Mh2d cycling tours in the event of inappropriate and/or illegal behaviour.
- It has been agreed with the Maastricht Police that they will intervene in case of serious disturbance during the tour.
- The organisation reserves the right to disclose information of participants if requested by the police.
- The organisation is not liable for (partial) cancellation of the event caused by extreme weather, a (impending) disease or epidemic or any other reasons whatsoever, or under advice from (semi) government authorities/organisations. No refunds will be given in any circumstances.
- By registering the participant agrees to receive regular email newsletters from Mh2d with information about the event, unless the participant has clearly chosen not to receive such communication.
